Smart audio and video technology have changed the way we experience music in our homes. The options were already vast, and now the availability of carefully curated compilations from across the world is expanding. Prepare to be educated and absolutely thrilled with new possibilities from Samsung and Sonos.

Sonos Streaming Worldwide

The new radio streaming service from Sonos is ad-supported and is available now for users. 60,000 stations from a wide array of partners deliver audio in amazing clarity, straight into your home through your Sonos speakers.

“Sonos Radio brings together streaming radio services and a select set of curated radio stations in a simple, elegant way. This is just a beginning as we work to deliver services that provide our customers with a better experience, and provide our music streaming service partners an opportunity to highlight their best content.”

Selections are compiled by professional DJs and artists. Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes and David Byrne from The Talking Heads are just two expert musicians who will deliver unique line-ups for the exclusive Sonos Radio. Stations also include La Movida, Blues Masters, and Global Pulse, with a wide variety of vintage and current songs in every genre of music.

Listeners can also choose content such as sports, news, and local stations based on zip code, or any local market station from across the globe, including TuneIn and iHeartRadio. And an added bonus…find out what artists are into right now; tune in every Wednesday for an exclusive radio hour curated by one of today’s most innovative artists.

Samsung Music with a View

Samsung’s audio offerings are different but no less exciting. The global technology giant is adding Apple Music to its TV platform. Users will now have access to millions of songs, playlists, and music videos.

“Our goal has always been to deliver the best entertainment experiences to consumers – and as people spend more time at home, we are more committed to that mission than ever,” states Salek Brodsky, vice president of strategic partnerships and business development for Samsung Electronics. “Last year, we were the first TV manufacturer to offer the Apple TV app, and today, we are the first to offer Apple Music.”

Apple Music is available through Samsung smart TV models 2018 through 2020. The Apple Music trial is available for free through Samsung’s Smart TV App Store. Users can download the service and sign-in with their existing Apple ID account.

Subscribers can get customized daily recommendations and have access to exclusive shows curated by Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, and more. The service also includes access to “At Home With Apple Music” streaming in editorial playlists, interviews, and even group FaceTime chats with artists at home.
