Brickell offers a unique urban lifestyle by the sea. The majority of inhabitants are young professionals who live in upscale bespoke high rises. And the infusion of home automation is rapidly increasing in the neighborhood. Take a look at the Responsive Living lifestyle of a modern couple in Miami’s hip Brickell district.
We wouldn’t trade our life in Brickell for anything. This place is vibrant. And it’s packed with abundant opportunity for entertainment, dining, relaxing, and enjoying the Miami lifestyle.
One of our favorite ways to wind down after a day of work is to jump in a car and find a seat at an awesome outdoor place on the Miami River. After enjoying a cocktail or two, eating some fresh seafood, relaxing with friends, and taking in the glorious sunshine, we make our way to a sanctuary designed just for us.
Our home is in Echo Brickell, an architectural marvel and social community that rises high above the neighborhood, offering a way of life that is unique to this side of town. Not only is the building really sexy, everything inside is smart. Lights, music, climate, and shading are all connected in one intuitive home app.
The entryway and almost every room of our home offer sweeping views of Biscayne Bay through floor-to-ceiling windows. Wide-planked light wood floors and crisp shades of neutrals on the walls allow the natural sunlight to fully bounce during the day. And as night falls over the Bay, we have a prime seat from our balcony, to enjoy the cool evening breeze.
Entertainment and enjoyment are the two words that best describe our place. Every room is equipped with surround sound speakers hidden in the ceiling and a carefully chosen viewing screen or device. The dedicated media room is excellent for sporting events. I’m a huge football fan.
With a tap of the Savant app, a motorized screen unrolls from the ceiling, while a projector drops down from the ceiling. Automated shades also glide down automatically to cover the windows. The lights dim to a low glow. And the projector and screen are ready to play. Whether it’s the Miami Heat, Dolphins, Canes, Game of Thrones, or watching them all in four tiles simultaneously, we have movie theater quality viewing at our fingertips.
Even the master bathroom has its own media feature. A Mirror TV appears on demand, in the middle of the vanity mirror. In the morning, we can catch up on email, weather, stocks, news, and even entertainment while we dress or have a bath. It is a phenomenal feature.
Our home has unique lighting additions as well. The lights mimic natural outdoor light with specialized color hues and temperatures changing as the day progresses. Amazing! My girlfriend and I have both noticed positive changes in our sleep quality and energy level since moving in here. We really value the technology.
I can’t say enough great things about our home or the design team that made it possible. They had a complete understanding of how we live and what we value most going into the planning phase. And they created a home system to surpass our expectations. I can depend on network support to always have my back, ensuring everything runs like it should, all the time.
Having a smart home allows us to focus on what is important to us. It enhances our unique lifestyle. And allows us to fully enjoy everything Brickell has to offer.
