My Savant Home System connects everything together in one easy-to-use interface. Not only can I control my properties from anywhere in the world, but Savant’s unique Video Tiling feature allows me to stay on top of my media choices easily.
My primary home in South Florida overlooks the Miami Skyline from a wall-to-wall cascade of floor-to-ceiling windows. The opposite wall is just a beautiful, housing a TV Mirror with in-wall surround sound. Aside from the bedrooms, the entire place is an open-concept layout. Which means I have a clear view of the television from my kitchen, dining table, and living room. It is great for having gatherings.
The set up is exceptional for Game Day events. From March Madness to the Golf Masters, my friends can gather cohesively, keeping an eye on several events at once. Savant’s IP video tiles interface flawlessly with Kaleidescape, Apple TV, Roku, Cable, and many others. We simply take turns with the iPad control. I can slide the volume icon from ESPN to Fox Sports and then over to CBS. The tile arrangements respond and populate with quick taps in real-time, without a hitch.
Channel presets are programmed into my Savant scenes for different sporting events. Each scene has its own name, a color hue, a background music playlist, and even a climate control setting, depending on the time of the day. When the TV comes on, the shades go down automatically. All it takes is a tap of the iPad screen.
The entertainment factor is so cutting-edge. It was the obvious selling point for me. But for practicality purposes, Savant Video Tiles are excellent. I need to keep my finger on the pulse of the stock market with a fresh supply of information flowing into my head daily. News source tiles are programmed into my “Morning News” scene. With a tap of the screen, a well-spring of information populates in front of me. Sometimes every tile is silent, with a Joe Rogan podcast streaming in the background.
