Home automation and home health are gaining synchronicity as important elements for an elevated lifestyle. From Circadian Lighting to air purification, there are multiple technologies that can be included in smart home automation systems. So naturally, a family that values wellness is a family that seeks out health-promoting technology for their home.
Take a look at a healthy home for a vibrant lifestyle.
My world revolves around my husband and our two children. When it was time to design our new home in Miami, we decided to create it as health-centric as possible. If someone in the household is ill or has low energy, we can’t live our best life that day. Therefore, our home is a sanctuary of beauty, safety, and wellness.
Sunlight is life. It absolutely drives me and sets my body in motion. So the inclusion of large windows with automated shades was one of my favorite features in our smart home. As the sun rises in the morning, the shades do as well. LED lights slowly illuminate overhead. So each room becomes gently lit in perfect synchronicity with the sun. Therefore, we meet the day with energy and clarity. And it doesn’t stop with sunrise. The lights adjust throughout the day, constantly mimicking natural light, to keep us in perfect balance all day and night.
Water purity was second on my list of demands for our home. I absolutely didn’t want toxins getting into our bodies through the water. We have filtration devices on the sinks, showers, and even the garden faucet. I don’t have to worry about pesticides, drug residue, or heavy metals when we are thirsty, filling pots for cooking, or watering the herb garden. Chlorine is completely filtered out of shower water so we avoid increased risk of sun damage or vitamin deficiencies. The water filters are constantly monitored so they maintain maximum purity at all times.
Everything that went into the buildout of our home was non-toxic. From the construction materials to interior design textiles. So I wanted to make sure that allergens didn’t come inside through the climate control systems. And everything that travels in with the breeze, gets filtered out through the air purification system as well.
Thermal regulation systems are another exciting feature of our house, especially for the night. Not only is the air we breathe clear, but it is also at the perfect temperature for comfort and restful sleep. And wake with smooth faces and fully oxygenated brains, rather than puffy eyes and congestion.
The greatest aspect of our smart home is that the systems are constantly monitored. From the security to the network and even the water and air filters, we get a notification the second something needs to be changed or adjusted. And our integrators are just a call or an email away.
Living in a dedicated healthy home allows us to feel more rested and to maintain a higher energy level throughout the day. We also have far less sick days than we did at our previous residence. And it might actually sound like I’m trying to keep my family in a bubble. But I would honestly rather the kids eat a handful of dirt from our garden than to breathe in polluted air or drink contaminated water. Our non-toxic home is an absolute blessing. We live vibrantly here.
