The Showhouse will be open to the public April 7 – 24, bringing awareness to The Kampong and raising funds for families at risk

MIAMI, FL – April 6, 2016 – Acoustic Architects today announced its collaboration with the Junior League of Miami for the Miami Showhouse 2016, an annual fundraiser to help raise funds and awareness for important programs to support at-risk women and children in the Miami community.

This year, more than 20 interior designers are working to restore The Kampong, the former home of Dr. David and Marian Fairchild, to its former glory. The century-old residence in Coconut Grove is a registered historic landmark, and one of only five National Tropical Botanical Gardens in the US.
Visitors entering the finished Showhouse will experience the collective work of professional interior designers, numerous product purveyors, and the volunteerism of hundreds of women of the Junior League of Miami. Once unveiled the restored home will create an impact from both, a visceral and philanthropic perspective.

“We felt it was important to lend our support to this very important cause and fun project,“ says Spencer Hauldren, co-founder of Acoustic Architects, whose mother has been involved with the Junior League in West Virginia. “We are proud to be in the company of so many great designers and supporters who share a commitment to better our community that will be seen for years to come.”

Acoustic Architects Is working with ten of the project’s interior designers to provide lighting support for the individual designs. Their work will be featured in the main house, as well as the Barbour and Sausage Cottages.

The Showhouse will be unveiled on Wednesday, April 6th at the Showhouse VIP Preview Event.
The project will be open to the public for a home and garden experience every day from 11 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, April 7th – 24th.
